Gold Hydrogen’s Australia-first natural hydrogen drill program has won official recognition.

The company has been named a finalist in the annual South Australian Premier’s Awards in Energy and Mining.

Being named a finalist in the Productivity Improvement (Resources) section is strong acknowledgment of Gold Hydrogen’s impact in the State.

Gold Hydrogen’s entry highlighted its significant finds of both hydrogen and helium at its Ramsay Project on the Yorke Peninsula. The entry went on to demonstrate how big a role natural hydrogen – low-carbon and low-cost – could be to Australia’s net zero ambitions.

Managing Director Neil McDonald said the nomination was just reward for their team.

‘’We really a breaking new ground, with enormous upside for decarbonisation,’’ Mr McDonald said. ‘’The team has toiled away in the background and it’s exciting to see recognition for us and our partners from the most forward-thinking state in the country when it comes to energy supply.’’

The winner will be named at the Awards Presentation Dinner on Thursday 21 November at SkyCity Adelaide.
